Graphics Card Advice

I think it should be cause check at this

https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=ajiN9aVOv4A

That guy powering a overclocked cpu and 780ti on a 450w psu and he said it's enough and shows the proof so you should be fine.

I know, **** like this just pisses me off endlessley;

I mean wtf is that guy talking about right??
Right??

Yes same here. Yesterday someone told me that his 780 is better in games like bf4 etc etc than my r9-280x crossfire but I can do 2560x1440 @ 120hz and get 120FPS almost all the time on ultra 2xmsaa no aa post and ssao. Due to my motherboard being faulty I had to get a cheap board and can only do 1 card for now but I can play BF4 2560x1440 @ 96Hz on high no aa, post aa or SSAo and do 95FPS due to me limiting the fps. BTW i'm using mantle now and it does work.

So i just asked him what fps do you get in BF4 on ultra and what did you pay for your 780. I payed a little bit less for my cards and it performs better. i bet 1 card can push more frames in bf4 when mantle is enabled than 1x 780 when pared with my cpu. most games that I play supports crossfire or doesn't even need crossfire due to older games.

Oh god, are you actually saying that the 750ti can stand up to the 270x? I'm going to genuinely assume you aren't, but if you are.

I'll give you benefit of the doubt though.

I'm not saying anything.
Notice how I just responded with your own opinions.
Just joking around.

I feel if anyone wants to state anything in here they need to post benchmarks.

Good info and proof the r9-270x is in fact better. I would much rather consume more power but i can at least play games better than to have my gaming suffer. I went from gtx570 SLI to r9-280x crossfire and like I said now single and must say it was worth it. I never knew AMD would surprise me that much. I'm just waiting for 4790K to come out and then I will get proper crossfire system so then I can crossfire again. Anyway enough about me.

If this is not enough proof that r9-270x is the card to get then I don't know why you even ask here :)

Dont wonder why you smashed your PC out of frustration because your settled for AMD.

Amd drivers are better simply because they don't kill cards :D

I lost a 295 gtx from the "196.75" drivers. It was a week out of warranty and no one wanted to help me with it. Nvidia flat out refused to help me and the suppliers were just like

sorry out of warranty LOL

AMD cards last forever, nvidia cards die on you randomly. 480 died 8800 got artifacts all over the screen and 580 stock fan failed and fried itself.

I am not a fanboy, I agree the 780 stock is better than the R9 290x stock... simply because of the heat and noise. Past experience makes me sail far away from high end nvidia cards...

Lol, I think Im just going to go for the 9270x on Wootware for R2399. Didn't want to spend so much, but ok, I've got to take the good advice received...

Thats a lucky kid!
Good choice dude.

And to the rest... how about we not let this thread turn into a Nvidia vs AMD matchup AGAIN?

yeah agree. We all care about performance and price. I like AMD and Nvidia. I feel if Nvidia doesn't make their cards cheaper AMD will be my next GPU. it doesn't matter what else i can do with the card I care the most about FPS.

Good idea! It's a great card and better than a 750ti.

Go buy it while the rest of the people here go into full on war mode :D

Yeah gonna just drop a disclaimer here, I like Nvidia too and if we were in USA the price difference would be much smaller and we would prolly be richer, but the reality is that things are pretty expensive here and these AMD Powercolors are cheap as chips.

In a perfect world I too would have SLi 780 ti's or CFX 290x's.

Lol, for my baby bro, not my son....

Im a little torn between buying the xbox 360 controller or ordering the Xbox One controller on Amazon.....

Ahhh sorry...

Yeah that's a trickier decision.
Personally I love the 360 controller.
Tried the Xbone's last year at Gamescom but really didn't like it. That being said I only played with it for about an hour.
I think Takealot had the wireless 360 one for about R600 with the dongle if I am not mistaken.

Think this one

That controller normally goes for R450 at BT Games/Makro/Esquire.
