Graphics Card Drivers

Is it better to install the drivers that came with the Graphics Card (Nvidia), or must I download the latest drivers from the Nvidia Website?

Which will give the best performance?

I thought I should do a Windows Performance Rating and get a score then install the drivers from the Nvidia website, do a Performance Rating again and see which gives the highest rating.

If the drivers that came with the card gives a higher rating can I just do a roll back or what?

Piesang, I always use the latest BETA drivers from NVIDIA.

You can find them here: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/betadrivers.aspx?lang=en-us

They usually give the best performance, and I have never ever had any problems with regards to any performance issues. Give them a try or otherwise use the drivers that came with your card.

Driver Cleaner?

When do I use this, before I install the new driver, or if I want to use the previous driver?

Use it to remove the old drivers, then reboot, then install the new drivers.

I must add that there were times that I just installed the new drivers and did not use driver cleaner to uninstall old drivers. Did not experience any problems.

Using Driver Cleaner is good practice.

I tried Driver Cleaner now.

It removed the drivers. Or so it says.

Restarted the PC and the same drivers were still loaded for my graphics card.

just install new vga drivers and click yes asked if you want to over right any files
