Ok ... i wanna know what graphics cards have you guys owned from the first to ur current one ... really wanna see if it is Nvidia or Ati that dominates

Here is me:
Voodoo2 8mb
Geforce 4Ti 128mb
Ati Radeon 9700 Pro (for me this was the best card made, since it lasted so long HL2 on this baby with max setting and you got 40fps)
Geforce 6800GT
Geforce 7800GTX x 2
Geforce 8800GTX
 
SiS onboard 2MB (played Half-Life beautifully though, not really a card but I used it to play games so bleh :D)
ATI Rage 128 32MB
ATI Rage 128 64MB
GeForce FX5900 Ultra 256MB
GeForce 7900GT 512MB
 
Riva TNT 2, then Geforce 2, then Geforce 4, then 5100 (something like that) then 6600GT, then my current one which I think is a 8600GT or something along those lines.

My PC plays Crysis on med spec... YAY!

ATI driver interface and driver glitches pissed me off while nvidias seem so intuitive, over the years, so i actually dont ever look at ATI cards anymore...

I went ATI to Nvidia to ATI again but with the dissapointment of the HD3870 (The original DX10 card I was going to get) i had to move to the 8800

ATI 3D rage 2 16MB - my first DX5 card (played tomb raider 1 nicely, had to replace my keyboard for obviously reasons)

Nvidia Geforce 1 256bit 64mb - TnL FTW.
Nvidia Geforce 2 GTS 128mb - replace the Geforce 1 under warranty when the fan on the G1 stopped.
ATI Radeon 9000 pro 256mb - what a rubbish card! could not get rid of it soon enough
Nvidia Geforce 5900XT 128mb - brilliant card.
Nvidia Geforce 6600GT 128mb PCI-E - the classic.
Nvidia Geforce 8800GTS 640mb - my current baby!
 
First one was a Voodoo 3.
Had to save money for a long time to be able to buy one, it was a beauty.
Best card ever.

Then a few Radeons, followed by a Geforce 6600 (Waste of money).

Now got a Geforce 7300 on my iMac.

The http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=3151 review says otherwise, if the ATI cards are cheaper enough in SA that is...

You youngsters... :D First computer (hand-me-down) could only display text - the display adapter had no graphics ability. We added G8 card, and you had to run a program in DOS to enable graphics mode (which gave you emulated text mode) before you run your graphics app.
