It was boring because I found it boring. It's obviously a fairly subjective response.
I didn't find it particularly nail-biting, as it was obvious what the outcome was going to be, and about as realistic as this movie.
That makes no sense. Just because you didn't like Gravity, that means you like brainless action like The Expendables?

I don't understand why people are so defensive about it.
I genuinely wanted to enjoy it. I like Sandra bullock and I love space movies.
Despite this, I sat through the entire thing rolling my eyes nearly out of their sockets.

Lol. I know you're joking, but I have a tendency to go for thoughtful drama/comedy movies before action movies. I've never seen an Expendables movie and if a movie features Jason Statham I probably won't be watching it.
But Gravity was really overrated.
