Great news for Capitec banking app users !!!!

One snag with Capitec:

Was paying for a restaurant bill with a Capitec debit card and for some reason. There was a 1067 error. I had no idea what this meant, but the excitable owner said my card "bounced". The available balance shown on my phone was 8 times the bill.

Called Capitec to find out what the problem is. Lady ignores my question about a 1067 error and proceeds to ask me security questions. After 4 questions she says I have failed and cuts the call

Offered to make an immediate EFT payment. Owner is not happy about this, so between myself and my 3 friends, we scraped together enough cash to cover the bill. Owner asks me not to visit his restaurant again

Visited the branch the next day. All my "security questions" are correct. Turns out a 1067 error is something to do with API calls, whatever that means. Complaint via email to Capitec remains unanswered
What's the name of the restaurant?
This is probably the worst owner I've heard of.

Terrible owner that, I'd call and setup a meeting with the owner and educate him on customer etiquette, and that the error message was to do with a bank problem, and not your problem.

What is the restaurant name so I know to avoid it? :)

It was DISA Tavern in Cape Town. I think his POS was faulty
This is the usuall story... with these piece of crap EFTPOS machines..
They're all dependent on the mobile networks, which, love to experience downtime after hours.
In the years I've been involved with this I have honestly seen it all.. the issues are 96% of the time with <insert_Name_here> cellphone network falling over on GPRS/3G

I've had to do this four times in the past couple of months due to various phone issues. Good news is that when I went in last time (Jan 2019) I was told that they've updated/reverted the system back to email verification so no more annoying trips to a branch to have your app activated.
