Lately, Microsoft Teams. Very intuitive and well thought out collaboration/productivity tool.
Xmind for mind maps/note taking.

ClickMonitorDDC which allows you to scroll on the tray icon to adjust monitor brightness for any connected display if not analog.

I prefer goland.
Indeed, but $199 a little steep when I am merely doing it in off time to get some new skills. Do they not have community edition, or cheaper offering?

Well, I get it because of the education license if you use it with a university e-mail.
Check individual license, not organization, it's $90/year.
If you use it for an open source project, you can also get a free license, so just pick a nice Golang project to work on.

- VS code and its various extensions, I have about 37 installed.
- VS code server (allows you to run a full version of VS code on a remote machine via SSH, the frontend is then rendered on your local browser.) https://github.com/cdr/sshcode. I can't tell you the quality of life difference it makes fixing a problem on production in VS code vs using vim.
