definitely at no1- framework and ide re-installation

Hmmm....nah I tend to go with "Reusing an old module in a new app and causing a whole array of new errors even though the original module worked fine"

heh, even if the technologies was upgraded and now hacks needs to be implemented for the old module work....

The joys of being an MS coder ... how I miss the days of 2 hour IDE installs ... NOT!

3. IDE linked / Inline help that does not work and refuses to upgrade to newer help.
4. Team tools that are complete vapourware.
5. Testing tools that only test the stuff that obviously works.
6. Inifinite loops in the debug view tree.
7. No keyboard shortcut for STEP in debugging.
8. No obvious keyboard shortcut for go back to previous cursor location.

Clients requesting quick fixes! and the fallout 3 months laters... :(

Or being handed somebody elses code to deal with... Somebody who has never heard of arrays...

Yeah.

VB4 with no indentation... Global variables with names like A, AA, B, num, x, tot total, totals, ttotal.

Gah! the nightmares....

My biggest annoyance of late: Handing over a project to junior developers and having to fix (or redo) it later...

My biggest annoyance at times is maintaining a project that was badly designed from the start, bad architecture...

Client: 'Can we <insert insane feature />?'
Me: You could, but you probably wouldn't want to.
Client: Just do it!
Me: Fine... that'lll be $$$$
... 3 months later...
Client: Can we please remove <insane feature />
Me: Fine... that'lll be $$$$

Business redefining scope under the guise of "clarification", then not allowing time allocation to be adjusted accordingly. Has to be one of my favourite pet hates.

Step in debugging is called "F11".
