Greencom

Hi Five Claw

In answer to your 1st question the Metro offering is is an identical physical service , the offerings are just packaged differently, its just a balance between up front fee and monthly rental . You choice is who you chose as a 1st line support provider.

With regard to Unotelly , yes indeed i know of many clients that are using it along with Apple TV , Roku ect . If you are having any difficulties please do not hesitate to contact me directly and i will assist you , my contact number is on the www.greencom.co.za site

Good day Greencom
I have emailed you regarding my complex (The Homestead) in Broadacres.
We are on the cnr of Lombardy and Pine Road.
There is a DFA fibre line running outside of the complex according to their coverage map and if you use DFA at all?
When do you think you might be able to get Fibre to the complex?
We have about 44 free standing clusters and most of the units in the complex are wanting to get away from their current 3G.
There are no Telkom or ADSL lines in the complex :-(

Had a personal visit from Paul to give us a hand with out VOIP. Standup guy. +10 for customer service - will definately be taking them in my personal capacity!

On a sidenote: my unotelly works 100% on the dsl at home but isn't running on the fibre anymore. Anyone else had issues or is it something myside?

The landline number for Greencom just rings and rings... Then voicemail :-(

Hi Mr SA

We are having a meeting tonight with regard to Broadacres projects and i will advise you of the outcome . My apologies for you not being able to contact us , we are experiencing very high call volumes at times. Please feel free to contact me directly my number is on the www.greencom.co.za site .

Hi Five_Claw

It was a pleasure to assist you .

With regard to the Unotelly problem we made some software changes that affected certain ports required for the DNS , if this has not already been rectified , it will be during the course of the afternoon.

Please retest and advise .

It would be great if you then consider all the estates in Syringa Avenue as well. Broadacres Country Estate and Castallet.

Quick update - still not able to access via unotelly

@Greencom: Can you please confirm if you have any intention on serving Broadacres - especially estates along Syringa Avenue. I checked the DFA map and I noticed that while Lombardy, Pine, Broadacres Rd and Haven Rd are covered and lit up, the stretch of Syringa (between Lombardy and Haven) is not - which excludes my estate for example.

Just some feedback would be worthwhile, as we have submitted interest forms and your lack of response/transparency is not fantastic.

They will be able to link your complex with Wireless probably, which will still be Fibre lines in the complex, but the link outside the complex will be wireless. I think that is what his plan is with our complex (The Homestead), eventhough we have a DFA line outside out complex.
Give Paul a call on his cellphone, that will probably work best.

Hi ,

We have already started the site surveys in Fourways and to speed up the process we can offer wireless as a new tower is being erected in Fourways that can give very high speed links to the gate . The complexes can be fibred the normal way and then when the fibre back bone arrives the wireless kit can be removed.

Filled out your "i am interested" form on your website for sharonlea, hopefully you guys can save us from MTN's dreadfull pricing/packages :(

Would be interesting to see how the latency shapes up via wireless links. We tried this in our office environment and it was an epic disaster.

Fibre to the tower and carrier grade PtP RF kit deliver very low latency
