Boycott PicknPay

This is my public wow never ever to buy a single product at PicknPay again.

Just a few minutes ago I returned from the PnP in Somerset West (Waterstone Village) after buying a few groceries.

To make a long story short - I love my Gouda cheese, so obviously I know my prices very well.

Well after being pretty irritated over the last 2-3 weeks, because PnP raised the prices for their standard Gouda from R52.99/kg to R59.99/kg I today discover that the same Gouda cheese now costs R73.99/kg a hefty increase of 23.34% in the past 7 days.

What pis...es me off even more is that 4 weeks ago In Germany I paid 4.99 Euro/kg for original medium aged Gouda from Holland.

The amazing thing with PnP is that the prices of all their suppliers has increased by the same margin at the same time. If this is not some kind of price collusion between the dairy suppliers then what is.

I hope the competition commission takes PnP to the cleaners and urge anybody to report your irritations to the commission.

Give it time. They'll decrease the price by R1 and then put a big poster saying MASSIVE SAVING! Sneeky bums.
