Grocery Specials Thread

Do you know if they're at all Checkers? I have the paper in front of me and this is what it shows...

Would be really nice if they're having the special to compete with PnP. I prefer Omo.

The one I saw had these on the T&C
"Prices apply to Checkers and Checkers Hyper stores in:
Gauteng, Brits, Klerksdorp, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Potchefstroom, Rustenburg"

Picket up two sets of the Skip- R50 PNP specials in Canal Walk; they were going out fast. Practically every single person I saw walking out of PNP had the special. R50 gets you 2kg Skip + 750ml Skip Liquid (equates to 2kg washing powder) + 400ml Skip Liquid (equates to 1kg washing powder)...so basically you are getting combined 5kg of quality washing powder for R50...bloody good deal if you ask me...

Wife also picked up 4 of the Skip specials at the PnP in Faerie Glen, Pretoria.

They didn't have any more Skip Liquid so they just gave her Omo liquid which she prefers anyway. Massive savings. We are thinking about going back for another 4 today or tomorrow.

+1 for the Skip. The powder alone is usually around 70. I took 4 specials. Max 6 per customer.

If they don't have the skip, you can take the OMO equivalent. Got 6 of the specials this weekend of both variants.

Checkers has a cool mobile app that gives you discount codes. You essentially buy the items as normal but before paying tell the teller you want to enter the discount code. You then ask for the code from you phone after ticking the items you bought and punch the code in on the keypad the teller provides and it gives you the discount immediately unlike the pick n pay points system where it accrues. Saving us a bit of money already. There are often a limit of how many items per customer but if you have two phone numbers (me and my wife) you can easily double how many items you can get he discount for.
