Guild Wars, questions...

but you probably far into the game .... don't flame me for this but the upcoming faction has some good points for wow in it. The best one being the co-operative area where you get to fight other members. That to me is the best feature

How will Factions "work"? Is it just an upgrade on the original GW with some new characters, or do you have to complete GW to play Factions.

When can your party expand to 6 memebers and what will the limit be for a party??

I play all over the place in the game. I was mostly in Ascalon last night.

The PvP bit has been in GW since the beginning. In fact the PvP was supposed to be the main aspect, with the PvE more to get people to know the classes. I think Arenanet was very surprised when they ended up with what seems to be a bigger PvE crowd than a PvP one. Factions just add some more PvP battle formats.

Factions is a seperate linked game. You do not have to buy both. If you only have one of the two, then you can only access the continent for that game/chapter. You therefore do not have to complete the first GW chapter to be able to play the second one. Some people will just have the second one.

The party size increase to 6 at Yaks Bend if I remember correctly. The maximum is 8 for the last part of the game and the high level areas.

Howzit all

Haven't been here for a while and haven't played Guild Wars either. I tried the Factions preview on the weekend and though it was awesome (but only played for like 15 mins). Last time I played Guild Wars, Gus had left  , what happened to you dude ? (can I leave the guild too  - it seems so empy without you !!! :D ). Anyway I'm still in the Shiverpeak mountains area and level 15 (i think). Can't play till next week though, capped and not here this weekend.

It seems everyone is joining WarGeeks (awesome guild). As far as I can tell most of the people here are in the general vacinity of Shiverpeak Mountains.

Going to do the Lions Arch 4.5K Quest tonight @ about 2300pm with a buddy of mine. Never been to Temple of Ages so we will be running from Lions Arch. Anyone who cares to join whisper me tonight (Lord McCrack).

EDIT: running from Bettletun

Press 'G' to bring up Guild Screen -> right click on your name and select leave guild. To join WarGeeks you have to ask useless to invite you as he is the Guild Leader. Im am not sure if you have to post an application on there website if it is only for GW (WarGeeks is origanally a Battlefield 2 Guild). useless??

didn't I do a few missions with you a while ago? hmmm can't remember now :D

anyhow my nick is Sir Fishfly/Lady Jilly/Atredies Fishy/Super Fishy The lsat char is the one I'm busy with :D

I am also not sure. I have done missions/quests with hundreds of people by now.

Hey... applications for GW are not required after i checked with the WrG council. Just give me your GW nick(s) and we can do a quick quest as a party before i give the invite. ;)

hi guys

i have a silly noob question - how do i get to the "defend the wall" quest place?

i know i should follow the arrow, but the arrow pints me to the arena. is this correct???

AFAIK it will lead you to the Frontier Gate and from there the route goes out towards the main quest area.
