Guild Wars, questions...

I think the warrior is a cool char to start the game off with. You are always part of the nitty gritty, being close quarters and all. I do think this is a very popular char as well, especially w/mo. :)
I enjoyed playing this char first time round. I found the game much easier with my necro though. Missions / maps I would struggle with the warrior would be a breeze, for instance. (might be because I knew the game by this time also) :D

Swords and axes are very popular with warriors. Hammers pack a punch but attack speeds is slow. Shield would be suggested with a warrior, seeing it can add considerable bonuses, xtra dmg, reduce conditions, +hp, etc.

The thing about changing builds is that you must get used to playing that build as you will have to adjust your playing style to that build. Especially if you used to playing "killer-of-all-things-bad" and then all of a sudden you must start "tanking".

Hhmm, expect to be doing some downloading when firing up GW again, some updates being pumped through, did about 4-5 MB of downloads through the launcher and some updates are being streamed in the background, up to 18MB there as well already
Have to accept a UA (User Agreement) as well now....

Don't know of mesmer skills that will remove conditions. Monks would be best for that (mend ailment, purge conditions for instance).

so heres a quick question:

do items stack ?

ie. ive got a grim celestia - +5 energy
then ive got some a fire artifact + plus 4 energy
some flute + 1 energy etc

so will it add 10 to my energy level or does it only accept 1 items energy addition ??

and 1 more:

how much is silver dye going for these days - 5k ?

thanks

*sigh*

Great, now to find a capable Monk, conditions last night were decreasing my health @ an alarming rate. When you see this next 2 your HP <<<<< you know it's bad, aint no healing signet gonna save you :D

my mesmer/monk has some healing skills primarily due to the conditions you encounter later in the game... and with those skills i seem to make my own henchmen last longer too.

last i saw at the Dye Trader the Silver dye was for around 750g.. perhaps to players it would be over 1k.

and energy from items is usually stackable unless mentioned. ;)

Yes, a good monk can do that for your health:
>>>>>>>>>

@Dan, yes, they do stack as long as you meet the requirements for all the items and have them all equiped.

@everybody: I cannot view the putfile thing. I click on play and nothing happens. Any ideas what could be going on. I do not get any errors or anything. Me crying. This is from home on an ADSL router, so no funny company firewall or anything.

Done downloading the updates, looks like it came to about 60 Mb or wot not, wasnt exactly keeping my eyes on it, next it was there, then it was gone :D

@gkm, just try waiting, the audio file is streaming in the background (not too small), it should start playing when done. I reckon they could've made this friendlier by telling ppl wot's happening methinks...

thanks gkm
thanks useless

Dan The Man
aka Di3sel

@ gkm - in same boat as you with the webpage.....will try again tho and wait as lilD says

aahhh... Dan the Man = Di3sel.

here i thought what did i do? :p

will quickly go online into GW now since its lunch break... hehehe...

lucky you :p

btw i started with a necromancer/warrior a few weeks ago as my first char but i made a stupid mistake when choosing warrior as second skill i thought i would be able to get a warriors health. But my new char will be a warrior/monk looks like a lot more fun being in the battle than standing a few meters away blasting with a staff or spells - but it still is fun :D

Yeah,

I was thinking along the same health lines with my Ranger / Warrior.
Monk would have been the better option. Still a long way to go before i can change that again.

ooooi .... 60MB via 56k..... ouch.

Might as well just leave my 64k running the whole night to download the upadtes.

aborted... only got past the login screen... will have to copy the .DAT file from home to bring it over to work... sigh... and i wanted to do a couple of farming runs... :(

@gkm, doh of course (smacks head), forgot bout that, thought everyone these days would have QuickTime :D

@McCrack - not that far. My mesmer has to do the Aurora Glade, Riverside and the other quests before moving on to the new area.

@lilDeath: I used to have it, but have not installed it recently, so when I started checking for reasons I noticed QuickTime was not currently installed on my PC.
