Thanks for the heads up. i gave the post office closest to delivery address a call. They confirmed that it is still at the customs in Cape Town.

As i understand it, each majour city centre has it's own customs dept.... Which means after it sat for a week in JIMC the customs officer looked at it and sent it to the CT IMC -_- .....
 
So some guy called me (on his cellphone and asked me to call him back because he has no airtime), and said that I need to pay something like R230 for my MP order, and will only receive it on Friday. I asked him to email me the details but haven't received anything.. What now :confused:

Sounds pretty much like an EMS Courier Delivery guy. They are totally useless and unprofessional.

I feel your pain.

If you can find out which post office branch it is being delivered from you can contact them and arrange for pickup and customs payment there.

I've been lucky with all my previous orders so far. See my latest order has already been shipped and ETA is 8 Feb. Lets see this time round.

lol he does this all the time...when i call him he is like when im there il miss call you i have no airtime:D

Does he ever want you to pay cash for customs when he arrives? I asked for banking details but haven't received any and Im not home all day.. I wonder if I can ask him to deliver to work

yes he will give you the customs invoice, the amount will be on there. same as what he asked for on the phone.

If you order is value exceeds mine , i wouldn't ask more questions. Pay the R230

Think it was a R1400 order IIRC.

Called the delivery dude and he said he'd drop it off today at my local PO and I can pay there
 
Any Cape Town members willing to share a scoop of Myprotein Whey Mint Choc and the Salted Caramel flavour for tasting purposes. I'm looking at placing another order in the not too distant future

Mine was R1200 including shipping and i had to cough up R400.
 
MyProtein impact Whey from Dischem on the weekend 20% off cost me R343.96 each. 1 KG. Got me 2 of those.

I got 10kg's for R1400 from the MP website. Again, the prices at dischem (for MyProtein anyway) are ridiculous. And in this case, even with your 20% off, about double
 
So I collected my MyProtein order from my post office. Had to pay R218 (R175 VAT, R43 clearance fee - no customs charge). Oh and I tried out the salted caramel flavour. So good! Subtle but delicious taste. So I'm happy
