Gym Supplements

I ordered 10kg of their unflavoured Impact Whey Protein.
Total order cost including delivery fees but excluding any customs or import duties - R1293
R129 per KG

Look at that wellness warehouse site - MyProtein whey protein starts at R469 per KG.

So triple the price.

The best local brand on the market - My go-to supplements.

As for mass gainers, don't even waster your time just eat clean 500 calories above your BMR.

hmmm easier said then done ... try eating 3200 cals 7 days a week from real "clean' food.
sometimes liquid calories are they only way...

Supplement Factory is R180 per kg when it comes to their unflavoured whey protein isolate (92% pure). It gets cheaper the more you buy, and they also do 20kg bags at R2,800. Works out to R140 per kg, and the company is local.

Have a look at this link

I will have a look at Supplement Factory, but the problem for me is trust. Even Nutritech, one of the most popular brands, scores consistently less than in terms of how much protein they say they have, vs how much protein they actually have. Excuse the bad English.

So, I'd worry whether Supplement Factory is being honest in its declaration.

EDIT:

Um, Supplement Factory's Whey Isolate is R360 per KG.

Their Whey Protein Concentrate is however R180 per KG

Remind me to respond tomorrow. Office network SUCKS and it's hometime!

No magic answers here. Have a healthy diet, sleep well and do isometric exercises

Note the contents of the Whey Protein Concentrate: 100% Pure Whey Protein Isolate (Unflavoured). I've used this product for a while now and I can honestly tell you that the quality is, well, excellent.

But how would you know it really contains the protein that it claims to?

Finally received my order. Once I had the local tracking number, I went to my local post office. Customer Services hadn't told me where it was and neither had the tracking, but I had a reasonable guess because this one is the closest post office to me. I was right.

Customs cost - R191. Total order cost - R1484. Cost per KG - R148.4.

Lessons for future - if you order from MyProtein, have them deliver to an address where you will be during the day. If you are lucky enough that they deliver it to you (still not 100% convinced that they tried to deliver to me at all), then your problem is solved.

If that for some reason doesn't work, good luck getting your local tracking number. It is the most difficult and frustrating part of the process. If you manage to get it, don't trust what the post office tracking site says, because it is wrong 95% of the time. Just go to your post office with the local tracking number and ask them if they have it.

Anyone tried the Dr Jekyll preworkout yet? And has anyone tried stacking it with Mr Hyde?

I've only heard really good things about both, but they're daft expensive (R650 for 20 servings).

The Dr Jekyll packs a whopping 400+ mgs of Caffeine.

I received some samples with an order, 2 of each. I didn't read there packaging nicely and I thought I had 4x Dr Jekyll so I was safe with 100mg caffeine. I took one and within 10 minutes I was buzzing, foot tapping away, my surroundings looked a bit surreal. Turned out I took Mr Hyde, I didn't sleep well that night I wouldn't suggest stacking it until you try Mr Hyde on its own, preferably earlier in the day.

Dr Jekyll is one of my favourites Mr. Hyde is too strong for me and it makes me feel a bit sick.
