If you're in the Overport, Durban area, Star Meats are doing these deli Grill Chickens hot deli packages for R60.
Really tasty.

Here's a little roundup of southern suburbs halal places.

Like they said, in and around crownwood square (on xavier road)
- ackalwayas for your cafe style junk food, and try their garbage pizza
- turkish Istanbul kebab
- mochachos
- Terrace (its on the 1st floor)
- Jimmys Fish & Chips

Across the road is a Chicken Licken, and a little bit down the road is a Steers & Debonairs.

Opposite Gold Reef City is a Dorego's (franchise type place)


In Robertsham (on Harry Street, near the hotel)
- Needz Supermarket has a pakistani guy selling chicken tikka or cubes outside. Dirt cheap! R35 for chips, roti bread & a quarter chicken or half dozen cubes
- Pepperz Pizza is next door
- Another ackalwayas is there too.


In Ridgeway, Swartgoud street, at the Spar center
- mochachos
- romans pizza

In Winchester Hills (pick n pay center)
- jimmys killer grilles

the columbine center has a halal nandos too.

Oh and in Mall of the South
- Simply Asia
- Burger King
- Chicken Licken

Nice round up...thanks however I have to question the halaal status of that chicken licken in ormonde.Did it change owners as I know the previous owner was not Muslim and claimed it was halaal but had no certification to back it up when I enquired a few years ago.

I don't think any chicken Licken is certified.
Could be wrong but all they branches they get their chickens from a halaal suppliers
 
99.99999999% of chicken in SA is halaal.
But that nutcase in PE may disagree...
