Halo 3 graphics

I just want to add my opinion. I have played both halo 1 and halo 2 back to front, and now halo 3, and for anyone to say that the graphics are not much better, i think that person has either developed cataracts on the eyes, or has no eyes.. The fact is, if it looks better on a normal tv, then it will look phenomenal on a HDTV... Peace out.
 
So....
I finally got a chance to play the infamous Halo 3.
Im am praying for the sake of all xfans that it was on a sd tv, cos seriously, it looked pretty ***a. I had high expectations even after all the drama rvolving around the graphics and I gotta say I was disapointed.
IMO Resistance on ps3 is definately much better looking, so that leaves the multiplayer to make Halo 3 a great experience right?
Granted I never got a chance to try online multiplayer but seriously how much more fun can it be than Resistance with its 32 player international lag free games?

I think you will be suprised at how much lag there actually is..

Game developers try to cater for the lag and it is often difficult to tell, but if you find that you suck really badly then it most probably means you are experiencing bad lag...

Try standing in front of a wall and shooting it, It is impossible for you to have a lag free 32 player game in South Africa... Nothing against the PS3, it's Telkom's fault.
 
Ummmmm, Much more Fun?...... I don't know, millions of dollars kinda says a lot about a game, in my OPINION...
 
Unfortunately there's a little thing called relativity that prevents true lag free international gaming on any platform ;) 200ms is about the best you can do.

It's easy to pretend Halo 3 looks bad, what's amazing is when you actually realise what you're looking at in the context of the scale of the game, like "killable fish" or enemy vehicles with in game active dashboards, or functioning active scopes.

And having played tons of 48 player Battlefield and now a fair amount of 4-16 player halo I can honestly say its not "number of players" but player /map density, which is a thing Halo 3 matchmaking gets beautifully right.

Have you tried killing the birds in Epitath as well? You need a sniper but you can shoot them out of the sky... I just love that useless detail.

as in?

THe only things I can think off are

1. Killable fish - you can do it
2. lag free PS3 being untrue - It is impossible for data to travel from SA to the UK and back again instantly. Thus lag will exist. Scientific fact.

300ms minimum, guaranteed absolute minimum... AKA Lag...
for a "lagless" experience, 100ms< needed

At least we don't have to wait for Sony to make up lies for us to believe, we can make them up ourselves. ;)

Im talking about the endless spew of crap that flows out the mouths of xbots. People then come on here and they dont know better so they believe it to be true. That results in the current situation.

Wow, abev you've got some SERIOUS mood swing issues going on. One day you're ok and the next day you don your PS3 armour and go on a rampage. Seriously, grow up. You have a PS3, good for you. Now run along and get that Folding client fired up if you dont like Halo. :)

Abev, if you think someone has lied about something then you are right to call them out on it. However it is only fair to actually tell everyone what is a lie and what isn't.
 
Guess I must be an xbot (:confused:) but I'm still loving this game - any idea how long I've got to finish it off before HL2 arrives in stores? :o
