Hamas Clarifies Truce Would Only Be to Plan Next War

This seems to be the veiw from a lot of people , I just want to ask or maybe look ahead. Lets say they do lay down their arms and peace do come to Gaza. What would that mean ? What would they go back too ? Would GAZA be free and able to control its borders ? Would they be able to govern themselves ? Would all illegal settlers be removed etc ?

Reading the history in the past Israel has either taking a few years to give back land and also they kept controlled on borders etc. The Palestinians were subjected to terror , theft , torture etc.

Many ask how many rockets is Hamas firing , I sit and think why are Hamas firing rockets ? Is it to destroy Israel ? Or is it to fight back ?

I asked this question many times - If many are so against illegal settlers in Palestine by Israelis then what did you expect the Palestinian to do ? I would be wrong , I am not saying I am right but from the history , reports etc it does seem as if the Palestinian lives under a harsh Israeli rule filled with terror , abuse and prejudice.

Let me conclude , we can argue this forever , we can be pro either side but the only way this will ever work if there is a free Israel and a Free Palestine. No matter what will happen , even if they destroy each other and claim victory the fighting will never end. Its will continue elsewhere.

By that logic, Israel is well within their rights to kick Palestinian ass big time. They are being restrained.
 
What I can't understand is, if both sides are so hell-bent on war, why are they so incapable of finishing it.

Excuse me? Israel could flatten most of the middle east in one shot, the difference is they are the moral ones and wont do it.
Israel could easily go and wipe out the whole area

War is good for both Hamas and Likud as far as popularity goes

One thing this conflict has taught/cemented in me, there is no morality in war...-the only reason something is done, is for the benefit of the doer. Another facet to this conflict, ...who is coining it, with all the arms that is being used and that need to be replenished...bottom line must be looking good for some in the military industrial complex..

One note on Hamas, according to intelligence reports, is the relationship between them and Hezbollah as they are growing closer since their dispute on Syria, this is an unwelcome relationship in this disaster as the spouting may turn into "dragon's breath".

Why would you say within their right ? If we take emotion out of the equation and not align with a side. If we look at it that way what option would you say they have ? How would you react ?

And the world would just sit still ? Do you believe it ? Did the world sit still when Germany wiped out the Jews in WWII ? Israel is anything but moral in this case. Is it moral to deny people basic needs for example ? I am not saying Hamas is necessary always right , neither am I saying that Israel is.

What I am asking though is given the circumstances and history how should they react ?

I think its rather absurd to kill thousands of innocent people and stand on your high ground claiming to be moral. This goes for both sides

I disagree to some extent, Israel is the most moral army the world has seen. This was even acknowledged by that British Colonel. The fact that scumbags use their rockets here kids and women are playing or living is not Israels fault

What do you suggest Israel do? Sit and wait for the final Hamas Blow. The only reason why hamas and the Arabs failed in their Jihad is the resolve and readiness of Israel. When do you think that day will come? When Hamas turned their "rockets" in WMD?. We all know that day will come buy not just yet? Maybe when Hamas have open and free ports with total control of their imports? When Israel gave them their total independence and returned all occupied territories? Then still the Arab Jihad will want them exterminated! It's only a matter of time!

They did have arms actually, not very good ones but it was most certainly not a peaceful resistance.
