i have a number that's bothering me... i've reported it to the police. the constable said that the prosecutor said i must change my cell no. she denied a section 205 (this is given to vodacom to trace the call). and the police said they only grant for serious crimes, like murder, rape, etc. in the meantime this person with a number showing sends me sms', miss calls & disgusting pics. it's driving me crazy.
anyone know how to trace a cell number??

Surely if they sending you sms' you can trace the number from them? Besides, how will it help you if you know the number? Not like they will answer and apologise? Try getting Vodacom to block that number. I had the same problem. The minute a phone call comes through, dial 111 and explain your problem to them. The operator managed to get me the last dialed number that called my phone. It happened to be a friend playing a joke...

Post the number online with a bogus ad for something weird - Like a Mercedes SLK for R5000.00 ... The person will know it's you but can the prove it?

Yeah, perhaps your best bet is to become a 'vigilanti', take it into your own hands... Make them not want to call you anymore. Use Waaib's suggestion or get a cheap bulksms subscription, and set it for an SMS every 10s for an hour, they're dirt cheap, like 30c each - best R100 You'll spend :D

If you have a case number after reporting it to the police there is a number you can phone to have that unknown number traced. There is no no number with cellphones.

Believe me or dont

Dude, answer the phone when they phone and put it on your table and leave it ;) hehe.

As for the numbers and MMS's and such, just u now, delete them as you get them, it's costing the other person money.

Just don't EVER reply, leave it, take it... they paying for it, not you.

After a while, it'll stop!

But dont provoke them, by replying or anything... try and make them pay as much as possible as you can... that's your fun part ;)

I had the same problem, I'd answer the phone and put it under a pillow, i swear to god, many times, the person would sit on the phone for 15-20-30 minutes, MTN luuuuuuurrrrrvs me ;)

It stopped after about a week ;)
I'm sure it was my CRAZI ex (won't mention names cause I've had a few)

If you really want it traced, maybe to pay them a visit or whatever you will need to hire a private investigation service. Its possible but costly. PM me if you'd like a recommendation.

I once had this happen to me, I phoned the number back. Turns out it was a bunch of kids and their mom answered. I threatened her that if she didn't do anything about it I was coming over with police.

Never had another days problem
