Hardware at Cost + 2%?

Hi Guys and Gals

Just a quick one....

Would users on my broadband be interested if an IT company had come up with selling all computer hardware and software at cost + 2%?

The 2% markup will only be for logistics and banking costs.

Any response will be appreciated as we need to check for market requirements before proceeding.

Thanks

This might work for you but you will be killing the market for a number of smaller retailers that are just trying to make a honest living of selling hardware components.10% average markup which is the current is not excessive by any means so no need to kill the retailers as they are not the main profiteers anyway.

I'm not in the PC hardware industry but I've seen how people that do these kinds of things out of greed kill the smaller retailers, competition is good and especially if its brings prices down to reasonable levels but don't kill the market.

Don't worry, this model is not sustainable in this economy.

Thanks for your comments. All is noted and we take into consideration.

We are not here to kill anyone nor take on the larger companies. Its just something we are currently offering to our clients so thought it would help people.

If it's sustainable, go ahead. No reason to not give a little competition.
