A lot of people were playing it during other countries lockdowns. Of course in SA only essential things were for sale...

And yes, we are a pretty new startup. The business was registered in late 2016, just after we completed our training and certification at the Ellies training centre.

The short answer is that it is a legit business. We receive orders from across the country, and deliver from the closest Ellies branch (the products are either delivered by Ellies or their courier partner, depending on the location).

I'm also looking at the same TV as a replacement for a Samsung 46d6000. Every techie that couldn't repair my Samsung due to unavailability of parts told me to never get an Edge Lit LED TV. What I like about the LG is the better viewing angle, magic remote and ThinQ AI.
 
I have a 65'" LG Smart TV. My only complaint with it is that it just does not get bright enough. Movies especially always seem too dark even with brightness and backlight settings on maximum. This is irrespective of whether viewing it in the day or night. Online research suggests that this is a general characteristic of LG TV's. My next TV will definitely be a Samsung.

The cheapest I could find it anywhere else, is R6299 at takealot at the moment. The SnoMaster branded one, quoted above, goes for about R5999 on takealot.

And then DeLonghi seems to be shedding some older stock too. This toaster is R1499+++ everywhere else. They have one other DeLonghi toaster going at R699 as well. Just browse the site.

*Even big legit companies are struggling to cope in these times, so the normal T&Cs apply.

From Takealot's website... but I've never ordered a TV from them

Any order of a television will be subject to the condition that we obtain from you your valid TV licence number and your account holder ID. If we do not receive your TV licence number and your account holder ID, or your TV licence number cannot be validated, you will not be able to check out with the television in your shopping basket.
