The DACs built into these are seriously lacking, BT too. They are very impressive if you use the line inputs though, and adjust the bass

There are plenty out there, the apple or google phone DACs are pretty good. If you need optical input I’d suggest FX audio, FIIO, as a budget option, also has usb etc. if for a PC even a iFi zen would be excellent.

I have similiar device that has a 5v port. You don't need a power adapter but one input device needs to be on to power it.
 
Looks like a good deal at R35k.

Not comfortable with the 6 month warranty though :D

What's with the delivery surcharge? They make thousands and can't even cover delivery.

I managed to get this for half price early December 2019 on Takealot.. Not sure how often it goes on sale there however. I'm very happy with it though!

That Huawei charger should be of a higher quality than the Anker chargers but I think that you need to pay a R90 shipping charge.

They don’t support any sort of PD for USBc.

I bought two expecting it to at least output 18w, seems only useful for huweai
 
I guess there are so many different charging standards these days that you need to choose your charger carefully for compatibility with your devices. From my experience it is worthwhile to purchase a high quality charger from Samsung, Huawei, Apple etc. as they usually charge faster than cheaper devices and comply with many international safety standards which could prevent a fire in the future.

This website tears down many popular USB chargers and tests them properly to evaluate the quality. Most of the generic types are unable to supply the rated current and have many safety issues.
