Probably a QC charger.


Two competing standards - QC and PD for fast charging.
PD can go higher voltage than QC, and charge laptops also.

PD mostly used in Apple products.
QC mostly used in Android phones. (Q in QC = Qualcomm, who also make ARM chipsets for phone cpu's).

PD is gradually winning the battle, but best to buy chargers that support both standards where possible.
I have some decent xiaomi ones (not readily available in SA), that I use, from China.

I'd see if you can find some studio speakers - Rokit or similar.

I have the Edifiers (in China), and found them a bit meh.
Bought them for an event for some outdoor sounds, and kept them in office for my office lapper.

Mind you, I was comparing those to the Yamaha HS8's that we bought to do a studio setup with.


While I doubt that our Black Friday "bargains" will be that interesting, there may be better options.

Are there any good deals on PSU's? My Sharkoon 500w PSU finally gave up on me after 6 years of usage. https://www.wootware.co.za/cooler-master-mpe-5501-acabw-mwe-550w-80-plus-certified-non-modular-desktop-power-supply.html...

I have made some more listening comparisons, and can say that they are really noticeably better than the logitech Z5500s when it comes to music, and the Z5500s were rated as pretty damn good when they came out.
I'm not an audiophile, but it sounds like the R1700BT has more upper bass and lower mid range? The Z5500s sounds like they have an area in the freq response where they fall a bit flat.

At first listen, I was a bit disappointed, but they just need to be played in for a couple of days.

They are small speakers, so they won't match proper home theater speakers, but for music I am very happy with them.

Edit:
Size comparison between the edifier, Z5500 satellite, and the JBL charge 1 and 2. The R1700BT really is only a bit bigger than PC desktop speakers.

Edifier was also the company that made a set of Z5500 "killers" back in the day. I so badly wanted to Import a set while trading on eBay and the Rand was trading at under R10 to the dollar, but I was worried about getting hit with excessive Tax and duties.
