I am very tempted, I love my mini when I braai.
Yep its amazingly powerful for such a small speaker.

Have about 3 and quite good as speakers plus voice activation. The mini speakers don't compare, I use them mostly for voice activation.

You won't regret it...
And if you choose payflex payment option you pay over 6 weeks - R250 now and then another 3 payments 2 weeks apart of R250, all interest free.
Why though? Are you getting paid weekly/bi-weekly? Surely you can just pay the 1k and be done with it? I mean if you have to split 1k over 4 easy installments, you probably shouldn't be buying smart speakers.

Well no not in my case. Keep in mind some people had change in work circumstances due to covid and might not have the cash flow. I was just trying to help someone that might want to jump while the sale is on but might not have the cash.
Some people....:X3:

interest free? if really interest free it really makes a bit of sense just because it's just a delayed payment lol

It is really interest free.. I have used it once to check whether it really is interest free.. deducted the amounts as stipulated to a total value of the item I purchased and that was it.. was not even charged a service fee..

Well my point exactly, if you had a change in work circumstances and need to pay off 1k to buy a smart speaker, well, maybe rather not buy one?

Not aiming this at you, but rather at how "they" try to exploit people who should not be buying stuff like this in the first place.

Nobody is exploiting anyone. Most people have credit cards and if they don't have a sense of money management they will get in trouble anyways. My point was this is a SALE and possibly has limited quantities, so maybe someone WITH MONEY SENSE but no cash flow can use the service otherwise if they wait till they have cash flow it may be sold out.

I have used it quite a few times in the past to buy big quantities of items when I don't have cash flow - I run an IT business on the side and it can really help in some cases. There is NO costs or interest and only when the payment can't go off they charge you R65

waiting for someone to say we need to start a thread on payflex

It is. You will never pay more than R1000 if your cart is R1000. They even automatically charge your card, and you only pay extra if your payment bounces. In fact, you can argue that it is negative interest, as you get to keep your $$$ in your account. By my calculations you can save anything from R1.41 on a R1000 cart by paying with payflex and keeping the balance in an interest bearing capitec account. Yes, that is only 0.14%, but the fact remains - it is cheaper to pay via payflex, every time.

Yes, big items/large quantities, by all means, we finance a lot of large IT purchases ourselves even with interest, so this is a great deal in that respect. But surely if you can't afford 1k cash you need to re-evaluate if you need a smart speaker. Let's leave it at that.

/goes off to find the payflex thread
/looks for more bargains.

Dude if I'm almost out of cash but getting R50k in 3 weeks time, you want to tell me I cant buy 1 speaker? Really?

Yes, which is why it's still a decent deal for boards that cannot run higher speeds, as an alternative to running an old 2.5" SSD
Old 2.5" SSDs runs at the same speed. So only if you don't have space for a 2.5" it might come in handy. 2.5" SSDs of same size goes for around the same price....
