I suspect that the PowerUp brand might be fine as it is a Takealot brand.
Would still recommend a Romoss myself.

Rather get this. I got one for my father in Nov. It came with 70% battery life, the instructions said drain the battery before charging. It took him close to 3 months to drain it from 70% to 10% with frequent usage.
Its huge and heavy though, weighs almost a kg
How many watts is this charging at? 18W?

Car = Heat = Issues. Lost one Romoss this way last year. It was parked under my seat and I never saw that it became pregnant. Probably need to get out the scalpel this weekend and see what the insides look like.

No idea, it powers the MacBook but doesn't charge it. The battery status shows the power source as "Power Adaptor" and the MacBook battery % doesn't drop.

So I just tested it again now and it DOES charge the MacBook albeit extremely slow. Took 20 minutes to add 1% battery life to the MacBook (just browsing the internet on it).

The description says 18W 2 way, so it can be charged at 18W and charge devices at 18W
What to do about dishonest eBay sellers?
Bought 10 x 128Gb USB drives from eBay seller. When they arrived, 8 were 2Gb but formatted as 128Gb and 2 did not work at all
Have exchanged 14 messages with seller, who is ducking and diving. Complained to eBay who acknowledged the complaint and after 6 weeks, closed the case as they were unable to resolve it
Reading the feedback on the seller's page, there are over 100 complaints about these misrepresented USB drives, yet the seller continues to advertise them and eBay won't answer why they allow them to be advertised
Seller agreed to accept a return and sent the goods via a courier. Have proof of delivery 11 days afterwards and well within the cut-off date specified by eBay, but no refund

Caveat emptor, especially if the pricing is unbelievable ... didn't you check the feedback on the seller before placing the order ?

Sounds like school fees to me.. when buying things like large capacity flash drives from places like eBay, you have to absolutely be doing your research to ensure you are actually getting what you will pay for..
18w is not going in. I use a 18w charger for my work laptop when I’m lazy and not doing cPU intensive jobs
