How does that work?
It's a mail forwarding service.. You ship something you bought in a different country to the address they provide you in the same country and they will then ship to your country..

So, buying from Amazon.com, you pay local shipping to Aramex local address and then pay Aramex for the international shipping..

You could also look Scott's shipping run by one of the members of myBB..

AGS varies by country and weight.. From the US to SA it is 304rand currently for up to 1kg.. Once your package arrives in SA and hits customs, AGS will let you know import duties and fees needing to be paid.. Once you pay AGS for that, package is sent to your address..

just a heads up

received the tablet yesterday and i'm returning it.

The performance was really not what i expected. i knew it wouldnt be ipad fast, but this thing struggles to keep chrome going. it really is terrible.

So ja, take alot is coming to fetch it on Monday.

I guess I'll keep keeping an eye out.

Yeah the 7 and hd 8 look like good prospects...but... Doesnt ship to sa

Comparison between fire 7, lenovo tab 7 essential and firehd 8.
FireHD 8 has better resolution but also use a low powered mediatek cpu so doubt its gonna perform much better than the lenovo

Also look here:
http://www.china-prices.com/tablet/10163/lenovo-tab-7-essential
http://www.china-prices.com/tablet/13585/amazon-fire-hd-8-(2018)

Peformance rating is basically same

You will pay at least 2k for decent performance tablet

edit: the fire hd 8 on amazon is supposed to be the 2018 version but if you read reviews someone states
"The hardware in this tablet is no different than the 2016 version. It has the same processor and memory but is running with a newer version of Amazon's FireOS."

I'd go for the Mi Pad 4

Price usually around $185 incl courier (About R2600) for pretty decent specs.
PS. Excluding customs

Yeah noise cancelling seems the only big difference but normal price for the one at pnp is about R2000 at places like loot so only about R200 saving and not R1200 like pnp suggest
