Yup they dropped really nicely last year, 1tb were cheap now going back to to 2021 prices by the looks of it

I bought a Rogueware 2TB 2.5"and it failed within a month. Got less than 3MB Read/Write and would constantly show up as unknown or unformatted until you restart.

Manage to retrieve most of my data via an external and log a return with Takealot - since it only stored multimedia, or else it would have been school fees.

Was it still reporting as healthy?

Had a similar problem with Rogueware 1Tb drives.
Takealot did give me a full refund though which was nice, but it's a PITA when a drive fails.
 
Been on the hunt for a desktop mic with a mute button for Teams/Zoom etc - nothing else.
Stumbled upon the Neat Skyline USB Mic:

Got it today, plugged it into my Windows 11 PC but the mute button doesn't seem to speak to Teams when muting - the mute works, just the icon doesn't change. This is bugging me after trying every possible suggestion on the net.
May land up returning it but if anyone else is on the hunt for a nice looking mic which performs well, despite the issue mentioned above - this could work for you.

I use one of these every day for Skype etc calls. Absolutely rock solid.
AFAIK it also does not indicate in teams etc when muted. Could be wrong. But that is not an issue for me.
Great quality feel and weight to it.

External microphones don't indicate on teams when it's pressed on the device itself, I've noticed it with my headphones that has an external mute button for the mic on both sets. Plus when I had a webcam with an external mic.
 
The only devices if found work as one on the UC platform. These interaction seamlessly with teams

+1 for this. Wife uses it for work and mute is seamless for Teams and MS. Just the volume is very low for some reason on these headphones. Most headphones on like 20 and its too loud. With the Jabra I have to put it on 50 to hear anything.

Interesting problem, I always just mute mic and camera on the Teams screen, have never bothered with the headset.

I'll have to try this sometime. They could make the hotkey a bit easier though, not sure if customisable, Discord I have set to Alt + ,
 
I've set a custom button on my Logitech mouse to mute/unmute but often forget about it.

that is amazing considering the refresh rate it supports, not 4k though good enough for gaming.
