I have one too.
Used with original remote it is frustrating.

Used with airmouse/keyboard combo - performance is fair - haven't had any app crashes (mostly use 1 of 3 apps - Netflix / Youtube / DSTV Now).
 
I want to get the mi TV box, but no Ethernet port and the several issues users are facing with its WiFi is stopping me from buying it.
Just got fiber and ran a Ethernet cable through the roof to the TV specially for this purpose.

Have a wireless mouse and keyboard but I feel that defeats the point of having the thing, well for me atleast. That remote is awful and lord knows how the air mouse works

Then get a compatible Ehternet adapter (see Mi Box thread) to plug into the MiBox and connect your cable directly to the device. Problem solved. It really does work, you just need ro update it to Oreo for the adapter to work :)

I get that some people have wifi issues on their MiBox but I purchased mine in December 2016 and haven't ever had one spot of bother with wifi.

Skyworth (https://www.takealot.com/skyworth-binge-android-tv-box/PLID51979040) also costs R799 and has ethernet. Rest of specs same as Mi Box except not netflix certified. But I sideloaded this apk and it streams upto 1080p according to netflix test patterns

Thank you @theratman. Bought a HP Printer from Makro today priced at R2 200 and got R300 of plus your R100 voucher. Paid R1 800 at the end of the day.

I thought someone else already maybe used it and thought Ah!! what the hell lets give it a try. Success!!!

Then I tried to add my voucher as well and it would not accept it. I think the vouchers can only be used like one at per sale.

Will give mine a go on the next buy at Makro. Thanx anyway and to the other okes..... Sorry!!! I spent it

Most welcome bud, if I didn't post it I'd have forgotten about it and the voucher would have expired.

Those makro vouchers still can't be used online?
They sent me another one randomly a week or 2 ago.
