I hate them advertising a previously R999 for R1499 as a "special" and a new higher price as "regular".

Saw this with a ups R999 now R1499 special price

You saving ... !

Pretty much the price for months. I missed out the 1TB on amazon when it was R1350 as I was waiting for the BF deals on the Samsung Evo 860 which came in around R1500 which I did not check out (something else in my cart was a luxury) - then on 31st I decided to get the Evo before it increases the next month.

They increased it to around R1900 on the 31st and the WD 1TB is out of stock and the price is back high.

During the 7 weeks the WD 1tb on takealot has been R1999 and the 500gb R999.

Yup that's the thing, I lost out R400 on pots which was also up and down.

The router is not connected to a UPS. All other devices are somewhat ok on WiFi and the NV Shield is fine on LAN to switch.

Your router could be glitchy... Reset it.

No one can possibly keep tabs on prices for even a few 100 selected products, nevermind everything :) ...that would be a 24x7 job...and often by the time you want/need an item the prior cost/special price is non determinate for comparison.

I got my converter yesterday. Works perfectly.
Supposed to give me 1Gbps but pc still displays 100mbps.

Struggling to find someone that fixes Asus motherboards in CPT though.
