I bought elsewhere as I wanted, no needed the white version :)

My kitchen table currently looks like this; wife is away, so i can spread out in her domain hahah
Arturia to the rear of the space between the ipad and the macbook.

If I want a better audio, I have an AUNE DAC stack, although its at home in Shanghai, with my decent headphones :(

Nice that it has that hub feature especially if you use it with an iPad or MacBook with very little ports but where is the USB C port on it, I don’t see it anywhere in the pics?

What is the advantage with the higher end boards if you aren’t overclocking or fiddling?
Most modern CPU’s, well especially the AMD with pbo, it’s better to focus on a good cooler and just let the cpu do its thing than try various Oc strategies.

X570 delivers PCIE Gen 4.0 to the PCH & probably has an extra power phase.
If you're not heavy overclocking or using more than 1 Gen4 nvme drive, really not much difference.

I usually use the hub for either usb disks, or my tuna keyboard, as the 49 key novation i have is a bit big for the table

Drive is the primary on a old notebook I run next to TV as a media player/downloader. I dont think I would trust it as a primary on my main pc. If this one crashes its just a mission to replace and reload windows but no real data loss.
New drive is around 2 months old now. Hope it lasts.

HI so to those that followed this. My new replacement Hikvision drive I received in late April has crashed. So this one lasted slightly longer but both lasted less than six months which is just shocking. The HDD's were in a laptop with a working battery which does shout down properly with load shedding not just a violent drop like the DSTV decoder HDD would suffer. I dont abuse it or anything this is just purely bad quality hardware.

Evetech also replaced mine with no issues....
Is the Hikvision E3000 NVME any better?
 
Hikvision E100 the 256GB SSD

No Idea if the other Sizes would be better. I would think they would essentially use the same controllers but just have larger storage. Im aslo not sure what part of the drive is actually failing so its possible but a Hardware expert would know better.

I'm looking for a 1TB+ SSD to use for games and software so I can just use my other one for the Windows install. I have a 2nd M.2 slot that I can use.

Any good prices at the moment?

I bought a Samsung NVMe for cheaper than locally including shipping and taxes. If you can wait for black friday, i'd do that though.

Thanks. Just bought one yesterday (confusingly it went up to R2499 on Sunday but was back down to R1999 on Monday). Was actually looking to buy a Gigabyte Elite V2 but that was over R3k - think this Asus is much better value for money and I don't game or do hectic rendering on my desktop, so this will suit me perfectly.
