The G530 is the one I asked about, since that's the one I'm interested in. It's unrelated to the G550 that you sourced.

As I said in PM, I've already ordered from Digital Addiction instead, so at this point it's more the principle of the thing.

I'm not going to go into the sordid details again... I appreciated your hands-on approach to trying to sort DP out, but at the time of my incredulous run-around because of DP, and the attitude and flippancy of the sales team at the time, and the weeks it took to be resolved I swore then and there to NEVER EVER make use of DP again...

Just the company name sends my blood pressure rising! IBurst is another company that I want never to hear of again.

BUT...

I am sure that you are a completely different crew on board... and wish you all the best... however I am lost as a potential customer for good. You may be giving away goods and you will not even pique my interest alas.

And yes.. TGIF...

The G550 is the model up from the G530 which is end of life. Sandeep was correct in saying that as none of our suppliers are still stocking it.

BUT

If I use Opera it maxes out at 100% CPU usage... and everything grinds to a halt.
Weird.

Just thought I'd let ya know. (Opera 10 final, Windows 7).

Good thing I have FF :)

Okay, although other suppliers do have it - I guess if yours don't there's not much you can do. What I would look at is why it took so long to get a response, and why the far more expensive SL500 was recommended instead of the more comparable R500 (the G550 doesn't look a step up to me - 1.8GHz CPU instead of 2.0GHz; 2Gb RAM instead of 3Gb - maybe the processor is newer? but I'm getting off track!)

But that's up to you if you want to investigate or not, I've got the laptop I wanted so I'm fine :)

Hi.

Yeah my site only like Firefox ... even have issues in IE ... waiting until exams are over, and then will create a whole new design that hopefully works in all browsers :p

22 ... Studying BCom Accounting. Got my 3 year undergrad, BCTA this year ... next year honours :p ... actually in the process of looking for a business partner cause of my honours next year and articles there after :p

Lol yeah ... but looking at a business for a partner, someone that deals with computers (anything, not just retail or sales ... i.e. Even Design companies, and preferably has PHP developers working for them) ... so just a heads up to anyone reading this that might be interested :D ... still awaiting word from one company, but need to start looking incase they don't go through with it.
 
Wow.. fantastic price that. Just sourced a 2494HS for a colleague today for R2.2K :P

Are they planning on replacing the 2494HS soon? Rectron dropped pricing today and no this on Kalahari. Feels like a stock clearance.
 
That monitor didn't feel like 10KG though. They list it as exactly 10000g, which means there's an extra R65 shipping.

They most likely using volumetric weights ... I also list them at I think 8 - 10kg.
