That monitor didn't feel like 10KG though. They list it as exactly 10000g, which means there's an extra R65 shipping.

Their free shipping conditions state:

Heavy Items - The delivery charge on items that weigh more than 10kgs will start at R65 and be automatically calculated thereafter.

Since the monitor is _exactly_ (according to them) 10kgs, not _more than_ , it should still qualify for free shipping? :D

EDIT: Went to their checkout page with the monitor and it does indeed still give free shipping!

lolz i wonder if they put it at 1000g thinking that would trigger the R65 extra....

Hi.

Yeah my site only like Firefox ... even have issues in IE ... waiting until exams are over, and then will create a whole new design that hopefully works in all browsers :p

Thanks for the update though :)

Hey Itai

Quick questions...

1. The Windows 7 upgrade coupon with the Gigabyte lappies... how does this work?
2. Once order is placed, how long usually before stock can be collected / delivered?

Thanks man.

P.s. Opera only fritzes when I choose to "show all" products... but I cannot get the sort by price to work.... it does its own thing.

Howzit,

1. I think you go on the MS website, and use the coupon on there. You might have to pay for shipping of a Win 7 DVD like R150 or so ... similar to the office DSP's that don't come with CD.

2.Usually next day, sometimes 2 days (Depending when it was placed like before 5pm, after 5pm, etc). If there is stock obviously.

Just got back from Hi-Fi Corp in Canal Walk and walked out with a little DivX Player, with USB interface for R249.95.

Nice little player that I'm going to give to my mom.

Worth it I reckon.

The brand is GemSound.

That is a good price. Let us know how it performs :)

It uses DVD's and has a USB jack, so will test it out with my 8GB flash drive and see if it can pick up my 500GB external HDD too.

You cannot however mount or install an HDD in it like a HTPC if that's what you're referring to labratza.

EDIT: Will be checking it out when I get home tonight and give some feedback tomorrow.

Ah afraid not on this option.

Colleagues and I went out for a break from the office and chanced into HiFi Corp and 3 of us walked out with them :D

At R250, this would be ok for the risk and it has a 1 year guarantee too.
So will see how this plays out.

@eitai2001

Hi... I am busy browsing your site...

BUT

If I use Opera it maxes out at 100% CPU usage... and everything grinds to a halt.
Weird.

Just thought I'd let ya know. (Opera 10 final, Windows 7).

Good thing I have FF :)

I spent the entire yesterday trying to sort out some issues. My site seems to be working better now with IE, not sure about Opera 10 ... but this is the first time in a long time I have loaded my site in IE and it doesn't say javascript error in bottom left (IE 6). Although had to remove some "Pretty" features like tabbed browsing in product page, and the nice filter dropdowns for now. Also, if you guys with IE6 can load the M1022M laptop without an error ... I have been successdful, because if I put those things there like ram upgrade before ... it errored out in IE :P

Opera=fine... no CPU load with "show all"... still cannot sort by price though.

IE6 M1022M laptop loads OK, BUT script error on image click...

Looking good... even without the tabbed info.
