Got me one of those dinovos. R299 from Incredible Connection in Bayside Centre, Tableview. Only found it when I went back there to ask them to check with the Century City store as the one guy said they had none left. It was stuck behind the other keyboards, happened to be opened already. :P So sorry to the guy who left to go fetch money from the ATM.

It feels a bit odd though. Like my hands are not resting in the right spot. I'm used to the much broader dinovo. :P

I have noticed recently that I was typing much faster and more accurately on my laptop keyboard than I was on my desktop keyboard.

I had already bought the Logitech Illuminated keyboard for my daughter when I spotted the diNovo, which is what she really wanted, so I ended up with the illuminated keyboard, which has a very similar look and feel and action.

I had never really taken much notice of keyboards before, but this is like typing on air compared to the old clunky keyboards I've always had. Won't be going back.

How often do we spend a fortune on our kit, but skimp on the keyboard and mouse? Yet those are the devices we spend most of our time using.

It's all about the peripherals. :)

All my personal keyboards are the logitech type scissor-switch laptop key items, but the rest of the office is click-clack look-at-me-Ive-got-big-keys type keyboards. I find it quite difficult these days to even lift my fingers over those rows of keys.

Using this dinovo for NBs is a bit odd. The function keys really need some spacing and are just too small, along with the left SHIFT which is so easy to miss. The dinovo bluetooth is going back into action tomorrow and this dinovo for NBs is going to the office along with the Enermax Aurora. The original dinovo is also 100 times quieter on the keys than any other keyboard I have.

It's well worth spending money on things like this. Getting a bargain on something like the dinovo for NBs is excellent especially when looking at the original price. If that kind of dough is too much to consider then one cannot go wrong with a Logitech UltraX for just R200. I really need to clean my UltraX out and put it back into service ... it's just that my keyboard count currently outweighs my machine count. :D

Got myself one of the diNovo keyboards from IC Menlyn today :)

It was tucked behind a large stack of other keyboards; probably someone hiding it (the last one) for a bit. Saw some guys looking very disappointed around the keyboards a little later... If that was you, sorry :)

Did the same thing. :D

Actually when I went in the first time and asked the one guy he said all sold out. On my return visit I asked another guy to check stock at another store and he found out there's one left in the store we're in. We found it. He left to ring it up and as I passed him he and the other guy were having a few words about it. :D Haha... dude was probably hoping to take it home with him after his shift. Too bad.

You snooze, you lose, IMO :p

Loving it!! My first diNovo; previously, the price put it out of my reach.

Taking some getting used to the curved spacebar, but like it immensely :)

I'm still getting used to the mini shift key and the oddly placed F1-F3. I keep hitting F3 instead of F2.

That eject button is also so very close to the backspace key. I can see what's going to be happening in the future. :D

But all in, this is pretty good, if a bit loud.

It IS on the website; as rodga provided a link to the exact model.

Yip, that's the one. My quick search that late at night didn't help.

Why is the price dropping so much? I am seriously looking at this to extend my ups runtime.

Well I have just recieved my Intellipower setup. I think for the price it is excellent. Now I will do some test to see what the runtime for my pc setup will be. (Very good service from liquorish.co.za. I order yesterday and delivered today! The guy had 3 to deliver as well as 2 other inverter type ups)

Okay, also just picked up my diNovo Keyboard for Notebooks for R299.95 at IC in Midlands Mall, PMB. I took the second last one, left the last for one of you guys :)

Awesome for the price.

kayvee, buy it for me and I'll send you the cash for the last one left :D.

Yeah, kicking myself now I didn't get both, hey. The sales dude stood there in awe when he saw the price and said "there must be some mistake, it was R1299", he even checked with one of his knowledgeable colleagues ;) before I wrestled it out of his hands and made for the cashier.

The SO didn't know what I was on about until I peeled back the 3 stickers, the one beneath said R1299.95, the original, R1599.95 :D

Anyone know if there is any more of the Dinovo's floating around the JHB area? I would like to get my hands on one :)

I'd check out The Grove in Pretoria; Not particularly busy there, and they have quite a lot of stock. If I go there sometime I'll have a look for you.
