Hi all,

We noticed there was a bit of buzz going on here regarding our Galaxy Note 2 special. So I have registered an account and paid for a Dealer subscription here in order to communicate with all of you who aren't members of Carbonite. :)

So the current situation with the Note 2 is as follows:

- MTN is out of stock. They assured us that they will be getting stock early next week. The minute they have stock, all of our orders will be processed.
- We are trying to contact them in order to find out what colours and sizes are available. It's always tricky business with MTN as they tend to be rather unpredictable, which is why we often don't mention these details on our website. I'm going to try my best to find out for all of you and let you know here.

A quick bit about BFore for those of you who have never heard of us: The company was founded by two directors who have an extensive history with MTN. The directors saw an opportunity in the fact that 4 out of every 5 cellular contract applications are denied. They used their experience in the cellular industry to craft a business which would provide people with an alternate means of attaining a contract (which has many benefits) by paying upfront. BFore has since become the first major online store to offer financing/credit for purchases on our store, which means you can purchase a phone and have it financed, so it's practically like you're getting a normal contract with a cellular network.

BFore has since expanded to offer home entertainment products and laptops as well. The website launched early this year, so is still quite young, but we're making fantastic progress.

I don't want to spam this thread too much. I just thought I'd introduce myself (Mark) and BFore to you and give you the opportunity to direct all your questions to me, which I will have answered for you as soon as possible.

I'm going to start a thread for this special in the dealer thread, so it may be more apt to discuss things there. :)

Cheers
Mark

MTN...
Debt....
I'm trying hard to find something good in there :p

Question to Mark- the sales prices listed- do they include the vat also listed, or are those ex vat?

@SykomantiS - The prices are all inclusive of VAT. It's illegal in SA to advertise VAT exclusive prices without specifically stating the VAT amount to be added alongside the purchase price. :)

@Glue - We basically resell a contract, yes. With all of our phones now, we offer MTN's R50 Anytime package, which is basically R1200 of "Free" airtime. This is as close as you'll get to buying a handset separately. You're not obligated to use the airtime, but you can do so. :) As we are long-time MTN resellers, we often have access to special discounts that we negotiate directly with them. This is why we can provide awesome specials like the Galaxy Note 2 at prices which you won't find elsewhere. (Try it ;) )
In all honestly, the Galaxy Note 2 special is selling at below our cost price. We lose money every time you buy one. ;)

Sounds good,want one:)
Please pm me the details for eft. Thanks

Alright everybody,

I've just heard back from Richard, our CEO.

He's specifically asked that if you are picky about which model of the phone you would like then please do not place your orders just yet. We will not have concrete information from MTN until Monday at the earliest.

The following information is available, but is tentative at best:

- The Note 2 could be either the 16gb or 32gb model.
- Both colours are available.

Bear in mind that while we can order a specific colour, we cannot guarantee that that's the one you'll get. As you have noticed, there is a much higher demand for the Titanium Grey version. While MTN will always attempt to give you the colour you have requested, if they haven't gauged their demand accurately, they will simply provide you with what is available in order to fill their orders.

Please do not try to hold me to this information as I have specifically stated it's unconfirmed. More information will be provided on Monday. :)

Hey BFore,

Will this special still be running on Monday? Or when does this special expire?

Thanks

@Glue, if you're happy to place an order considering all the information I've just given, then could I ask you to follow the order process here: https://bfore.co.za/products/cellphone-contracts/samsung-galaxy-note-n7100-2-283-info

It's necessary because it gives us all the information we require and provides you with all the information (bank details) and paperwork that you might require.'

Again, guys, remember that MTN corporate is currently out of stock! They only told us this after we had advertised the special and filled our orders, go figure. There is no guarantee on availability time but they say next week. Again, if you place your orders you imply your understanding of all of this. You're more than welcome to wait until Monday when I can provide more info.

I'm 99% sure it'll still be running on Monday. :)

We have an undisclosed number of units we're prepared to sell at this price. Once that many have been ordered, the special is over. :)

Btw, we have a bunch of other really awesome specials currently on the site which aren't out of stock. ;)

I would be willing to gamble on the colour but not storage. I simply don't want a 16GB unit.
Sux. I would have loved to put my order in now ):

How about a special on the S3? :)

Same here. I'm dying to place an order but I really need it to be the 32 gb hopefully. That said you could add up to a 64 GB sd card :p

As a matter of interest, why the 32GB rule? I have 16 in my S2 and then another 16 on a card and am nowhere close to capacity, that and I can just add a bigger card, they are so cheap at the moment.

My Tab has 32 and no card slot but even then with stacks of huge games and so on there is still lots of space.

Seems a lot of people keep their music and recent movie collection on their phones.

For me it is movies, music and mainly ROMS and NANDROIDS.
32GB internal and 32 external. Internal about 10GB free because of games, zinio mags, etc... and external almost full because of what I mentioned above.
