nice ssd but the thing is it's sata II only and I need a SATA III one.

any one know where I can get a 2 TB Seagate Barracuda sata 3 HDD in Durban? Tried PC zone and matrix, both out of stock.

I know that it shouldn't be posted here, but this will be my last message re: the Galaxy Note 2 special. I only post here because all interested parties are already subscribed.

Our CEO, Richard, issued the following statement today in respect of the Note 2:

"Thank you all for your patience and understanding while we experience these delays in the release of the Galaxy Note 2. I know that you are all anxious to get your hands on this fantastic new product.

So here is the latest update (as confirmed by MTN):

1. The stock will be available for delivery from the 29th October 2012. I know some of you will ask why the MTN stores have it but we don’t? The answer is that we deal with a different channel to the MTN stores – MTN Corporate. Their allocation of the stock only kicks in from that week. Then why do we deal with MTN Corporate? Better prices – simple as that!! So hopefully you don’t mind waiting for the fantastic price we can offer.
2. The handsets we will be getting will be the White 32GB model. This is the only model that Samsung SA have brought into the country. This might change later but we can’t get any confirmation on when.
3. We can now place orders with MTN so please go ahead and complete your order when you are ready. What we are hoping is that by ordering now we get our stock released on the 29th. The delivery time should then only be a maximum of 3 to 5 days (depending on location)."

I hope that helps all of you. :)

I'll open up a thread in the Dealers section for this special. Any queries can be directed to me there.

Right, so back back on topic now!

All 4 lenovo machines in this email from esquire seem like very good value

The two that stand out are the:-
x220i 2350m ultraportable for R3499 ex vat. (R3989 incl) 3 year warranty (perfect student laptop with some additional ram, add an msata ssd and it's a great business laptop too, with storage to boot)
and the i5 2400s all in one for R5399 ex vat (R6155 incl) 3 year warranty

True - but if there are compatible ROM builds out there (that are being updated), then it'd be cool.

Good luck with that, Pinnacle OEMed it so I doubt you'll find the original model number, and if you do it would probably some Chinese product that no one on XDA uses...
