If game doesn't have stock of a product you can take out a rain check which means they'll contact you when they have stock and you would pay the price it was going for.

My Game store (Cresta) doesn't do rain cheques for specials like these... Kicking myself for not going on Thursday!!

I have repeated this process a number of times and it works.

Might be of some use to someone...
My Dad just picked up an Energizer HDL33A Headlamp (with 3xAAA) + a packet of Energizer 4xAAA from Makro Montague Gardens for R79. Not too bad knowing that the 4xAAA alone usually goes for about R40.

Will become a handy fixin'-pc-light in due course.
 
Re: Torches, BuyRite supermarker was selling 5 LEDs torches R20 for the last 1.5 years. Now is marked down R15.
I must say, the torch employs single-chip PWM regulator, so battery is used efficiently and only gets dimmer when battery is completely flat.

Do you know how many lumens output they are?
 
No idea, not the britest on the market, sure, but in my opinion not bad. Quite heavy due to the set 2xR20 batteries and plastic enclosure will break if dropped, so be warned. But the first set of batteries lasted for one year when using every day on the farm. Not even thinking about recharchable batteries.

Surprised to hear someone actually helping you at that Game, normally I stand there waiting like a fool
 
back in days of the 2tb special's i never got any call backs , these days i just log hello peter complaints , and managers phone me back and get my HDD :P
 
Never heard of BuyRite. Are there any outlets in the northern suburbs of Jhb? Randburg?
