I believe that drive has a USB pcb (ie no SATA) for those of you thinking of taking it apart

The special is on from 25 to 28 April.
I'm gonna get me some storage... Replacing my bank of 2TB units in my Microserver for the 4TB units.
Really low cost per Gig now.

It's a good deal based on footprint storage, not just cost per Gb.
For two drive bays you will get 8TB of storage, not just 6.
So for a marginally more cost per Gb, you get 2TB more storage.
On a pure cost per Gb, the 3Tb deal is better of course.
I'm at a point where I need to increase my overall storage capacity and instead of getting a third Microserver, I'll just upgrade my drives to 4TB units. Overall more cost effective for me.
