Guys ... I'm not sure if you're interested, but I have a supplier that is having a special on Samsung 500GB SATA 16MB Cache hard drives tomorrow. Price will be R899 ... the only catch is if you want one, you need to confirm with me either tonight or tomorrow morning, and I need payment up front cause I don't have credit with this supplier.

You could probably get a Transcend external chassis for around R200.

Thanks guys, looked at prophecy/sybaritics/take2/landmark/cyberorange for this but didn't see anything in the price range (or maybe I missed something). I usually use pricecheck.co.za, but without a model or brand I think it will give me lots of results which give me headaches.......

Really ... thats strange ... what was it doing / saying? Perhaps it was a server error.

The only problem is its only up to 500gb ... so if you using a 750 or 1g it won't work ... not sure why, but thats what it specifies
