If it wasn't a typo, and was a genuine special I actually feel they should have limited quantities to 1 so people couldn't abuse it.

eitai : I would check with Karyn if it was a genuine special though.
 
Yeah true ... hope it was. Price is still showing, so don't think it was a typo.
 
Then I think DP should come to the party for those of us who were only goign to buy 1 and should decrease the quantity of the guys who bought 10 and screwed the rest of us over :D

yeah this freeking sux, some idiot has 10 of these and just going to resell them and make a profit whereas if they limited quantities, we could have all had a chance at one.....:(

Or maybe, that was the plan ... and now everyone will keep checking in case a similar special appears for the next few days and end up buying something else ...

Wouldn't call her buddy buddy :P ... but I have her number from an old email where I bought something from her that was out of stock and their last one :P
 
Oh well I dropped them a mail suggesting that next time they limit quantities on the awesome specials like these....

Just think its not really fair for people to order 10 so that they can profit from it, whereas people who would have ordered just 1 lose out.

I also think DP lose out on a bit of PR if they don't limit quantites because less people get to partake in the special.

That's what I would've recommended as I have a 2494 and it rocks.

Not that I've investigated the TFT, but the only difference I could think of is the styling.

Also the 2494HS has speakers built in along the sides with it which add more to the whole surround sound effect :)

Indeed, otherwise it kinda defeats the object of the special.

Thing is, that T240 is proper 24" if I am not mistaken. And it is a damn sight prettier than the 2494... Not sure if that justifies the R1000 price difference.

I got my T260s for R3k each - could not be happier.

0.4" difference?

Yeah they're prettier, but the R1k price difference is what makes them unattractive to me though.

Have you posted pics of your updated rig yet?
Would be awesome to see those T260's side by side :)

I have not. Two breakins later I am totally parries about internet stalkers who want to steal my tings...:eek: Not that anyone knows where I live :p
