Hardware Bargains

R 2,265.00 isn't exactly a bargain for a 120GB SSD, seeing that I got mine for R1999 from WootWare when it was on a special :)

I would rather buy one of the new SSD/HDD hybrid drives than go pure SSD - almost the full speed of SSD but almost the price of a regular platter HDD.
Find out more here.
Nivo has the 500GB/4GB for R1279 - though not exactly on special it's still a heck of a lot cheaper than an SSD!

I would love to see where you got your info from, because the performance is definitely way worse than that of a normal SSD.
You'll only see an increase in performance with regularly used files with those Hybrid SSD's.

You can much rather get a 1TB HDD (~R600) + 60GB SSD (~R1300 - eg. G.Skill Phoenix 60GB SSD at WootWare).

Anyone hear about some musica sale?

Sent from my HTC Desire using MyBroadband Android App

Incredible Connection has a Seagate Baracuda SATA 2TB for R 999.95

If you can use the pricelist, you would be getting a password..

Nobody will distribute the pricelist to you on here.

This is the "Hardware Bargains" thread, where good short-term pricing is announced. How is the Rectron pricelist's password (which is restricted to registered dealers) in any way related to this??
