The cheapest HD 6870 that you'll find in SA is the VTX3D HD 6870 @ R2,199 (incl VAT).

Anything close to R2600, it would be more worth it to get an HD 6950 for like R2800 (also from WootWare).

As far as I know they recycle all products. It's part of their drive to reduce their carbon footprint. Also not sure how it works, but there are sometimes tax incentives for industry if they are making an effort to reduce their carbon footprint.

Don't know, hey. Two years ago I was told they donate the working stuff to charity, attempt to repair, and then recycle what they can't. Maybe they have changed this policy since they found everyone was trading in a pile of cr@p, so I stand corrected.

BTW it's a Western Digital brand HDD.

It's a crazy special I know. I.e You but 1.5TB of the same thing for R899. You buy 2 for R799. Then you buy 3 for R699! a savings of R1200. "Buy more save more."

/Facepalm. I didn't see the "each." Really was too good be be true. 1.5TB costs R1100 usually, if you buy 3 for R699 each = R2100, thus a savings of R3300 - R2100 = R1200. Apologies. Still a "bargain" though.
