Eish thats cheap BUT if anyone was following my posts :), they can get a Samsung 2TB @ R799.00incl RETAiL :) from Mitabyte however phone them to find out if stock is available, i took 4 last week.
 
Agh, just PM bwana - he was in this forum cleaning up another thread I'd RAS'd and I think he may have picked up on the O/T posts :p

This is presumably a USB 2 drive though? The Cyberdyne one supports USB 3 and comes with a fan which are both advantages.

That's a Samsung drive, and I've seen quite a few of them around that price.

This was for a WD drive, which I've yet to see below R900 WITH a USB3.0 enclosure. I bought one just a few months ago for R1000 without the enclosure from Take2.

Also: How is CyberDyne not RETAIL?

I always see a really awesome price then read the fine print...

CyberDyne directly states it, it's hardly fine print :p The new "specials for collection only" might be a bit of a damper though :(

IIRC it's illegal to only give the ex vat price. PCint also got into trouble for that very same reason, which is why they now have the vat incl. price next to the vat exlc one.
 
Places charge ex VAT because they tend to be suppliers/distributors where mainly VAT-registered businesses that resell parts, which pay and claim VAT, are registered with and buying from.
