Bought a 1TB Samsung 2.5" External hard-drive today at Game Store, special price of R899-00. Cant get a link to that special.

You know when Game's selling something for the same price as PC Zone that the world is not in it's natural order :D

I ordered this yesterday. Opened it just now to find its only got 1gb of ram and a 250gb hdd - when I looked and ordered yesterday it was 2gb/320gb... I see kalahari have now also changed their site to reflect the lower spec - google's cache doesn't lie though...

I've sent them an email - awaiting their response....

Just an update on this (for anyone that cares :)) - didn't receive a response to my email, so i gave them a call. They were apparently trying to sort it out for all customers affected, so they chose not to respond to me in isolation. Received an email to say they'll send a courier with the right model to exchange for incorrect model. Hopefully this will be done without incident before Wednesday.... so i guess all's well that ends well.

Big up to them for not giving you any hassles

Big up to Kalahari for sorting it out.... I hazard a guess that even THEY were unaware of the issue and the fault might lie with their suppliers...

Add-supported though. Discounts are welcome, but who needs more ads in their lives?

I missed that part :D

When you buy Kindle with Special Offers, you are getting the same bestselling Kindle for $25 less—only $114. Special offers and sponsored screensavers display on the Kindle screensaver and on the bottom of the home screen—they don't interrupt reading.

So the ads only show up on screensavers and at the bottom of the home screen, not when reading your ebooks. I'd say that's worth the R170 saving... unless it adds a dramatic amount to the data which you download of course!

It does indeed increase the data downloads when you enable Wireless (WiFi). But if you're on a free WiFi that's irrelevant of course; if you are paying, you will therefore be paying for the ads! Frankly for a saving this small, unless that R170 or so is really significant to you, most people on the Kindle forums have been fairly dismissive of this 'innovation'.

Start a new thread for your particular questions. You'll get better responses there as well as not starting unnecessary debating in this thread.

Iv'e recently bought a 32 Gig USB flash drive from a hawker for R150 (unbelievable price). I've seen these guys all over in Cape Town - southern suburbs and northern suburbs. It's has been working fine thus far, has any1 else bought one from these people? And any idea where it comes from?
