Anyone know what the 1.5TB Samsung G3 external drives are going for at Game?

Its on their site, but for the love of god, no one can read the price. Normally their adds are high res so not sure wtf happened this week.

Looks like R699 to me. I may be horribly wrong.

Edit: Never mind, I managed to find the individual add, its R699. Holy crap my eyes are good :p

Guys would you recommend a 3.5" or 2.5" drive? Are there any disadvantages to a 2.5"?

Any specials?

If you need mobility then the 2.5" ideal. 1 cable, no power adaptor to lug around.

If you will be leaving the hdd on your desk with minimal movement, then the 3.5" is better value for money.

There are no disadvantages between 2.5" and 3.5", except for mobility. However Solid State Drive (SSD) Technology has a greater advantage over the traditional HDD. It is more durable, quieter and error corrective, to mention a few.

2.5" are definitely advantageous over 3.5" in that they are more resilient and drop resistant.

FYI, I saw after I posted (elsewhere on this forum) that it's going for even cheaper at Hirsh. R1999

Hi,

Looking to buy gaming PC. I've looked at pricing on :

www.takealot.co.za
www.take2.co.za (Think they the same)
www.azinta.co.za (Small shop but good pricing I noticed)

Any others - I've gone to incredible connection today and noticed that building the box yourself could be cheaper?

Also what does everyone recommend as specs for a budget gaming PC for 2011. I like games like world of warcraft but also want to play fear.

Umm don't go to IC for a gaming PC, please. Save yourself from the wee turtles.

Seriously if you want a good bang for buck machine, build it yourself. Prophecy shop has a wide range of components that you could mix and match.
