Saw that powermonkey while at work, but when I went to buy the evening it was already sold out :(

Good price, and I'm looking for a small solar panel anyway to play around with.
For what specifically...?

For what specifically...?

Gadget addiction.

Powermonkey style combos would be nice for simple USB power. In the car I've got easy access to that via the lighter socket, but on the bike it's harder. Having a standalone unit is more flexible than splicing in some kind of USB source on the bike as well.

That can be used either for my phone's pathetic battery life or when I need GPS away from a CAR/PC, or if I need to power my little video camera for longer than its internal 500mAh would allow.

If I ever get the inclination to spend extra bucks, I'd also like to get something like an Arduino kit, although I can't see myself spending big money on some of those parts :( a 5V power source would be handy for those as well.

I also have a more general interest in solar panels though. If I lived in my own house I'd probably be splurging out bigger bucks to get at least 200W. I have no idea whether SA allows grid tied systems, but I'd love to have my load during the day at least partially carried by solar. With Eskom's crazy increases it's likely I'd bet able to get way more than my money's worth from such a system, although it'll be over more than 10 years :(

May be what you're looking for :)

Quite a nice one, but seems to be aimed solely at charging lipos, not neccesarily as generic as I had in mind - will give it a proper read later though, thanks!

I was looking for something that includes battery, as that has other uses outside sunlight, and the Powermonkey had that @ R199.

You get similar 0.8W rigs with a smallish battery around the $25 mark from places like DealExtreme, but the quality is a mystery.

Anyone know where to get a good deal on a 32" LCD/LED? Looking to spend R3000 or less. Need HDMI, HD Ready, and preferably USB

In CPT

Too bad you not in JHB, check out http://www.directdeals.co.za/ and http://www.directdeals.co.za/adverts/massiva-sale-5-days-only.pdf

R2900 for a 32" HD ready Sammy with USB, or a Telefunken Full HD with all you need for the same price.

Since its the same guys that run the http://www.24hoursonly.co.za/ site, don't see why they can't deliver to you

And IPS is much better for your eyes, so tell yourself it's an investment in your future ;)

Usually I'd call RAS, but in this case I'll reiterate my post in your thread:
You know you are doing something wrong if the stuff you are trying to sell is cheaper at Wantitall...

I was sad that I could not see the specials this morning, as I am interested in some of their cameras. After your message, I am not sad anymore. If Wantitall is cheaper or even less than double your price, I would not be interested in your products.
