Game has 2 TB Toshiba drives @R799 this weekend - seems like a good deal (not sure of the warranty though).
Otherwise Makro advertising 2 TB Verbatim with 50 CDs for R999.
And Incred conn Samsung 1.5 Tb for R699.
 
Game Rosebank in JHB has no stock and the salesman has no idea what's potting (tried to sell me a 500GB drive after I asked for the 2TB)
 
The 2TB was advertised on page 23 of this weekends specials catalogue (found on website and in store)... I found it at Cresta but opted for the 1,5 from IC instead for the longer (3 yr as opposed to 2 yr) warranty.
 
Tried initially and was told the 1199 was for partners only... ended paying 1599 for it.. anyway i needed it.

Is there much point in posting dealer/channel/partner pricing? I would imagine the majority of folks here are not dealers.

I bought one opened it up know that breaks the warranty but was lookin for a internal drive anyway. Low and behold the contents is a Seagate Harddrive. Is that not false advertising? they state Toshiba, only the case is made by them or even a 3rd party with the Toshiba brand name.

LOL no. There are only a few HDD manufacs, many many "external manufacs" using their drives.
