What makes that Freecom USB stick so special that it would normally retail +R300.00?
The 2 year warranty? :erm:

Or am I missing something?
Doesn't say that it's USB 3 right?

It's on sale for R169 now. Still bloody cheap. Are these flash drives any good? They have Kingston ones for R150 but it's 16GB.

With the Makro PVR special I'm considering one. What can one do with the DSTV PVR other than record live TV? Does it play your MKV's and MP4's and AVI's? Does it have USB for external media?

Would be awesome, but no.

Thanks Fudz, I thought as much. A real pity. DSTV should market generic Linux powered PVRs. What am I thinking... Open Source and Multichoice... PFFFFFFT.

SSD

Any specials on SSD at the moment gents? I'd like to jump in at the shallow end of the pool for my first time. :)

Edit: Cheaper than the rebeltech one that is.

was leaked , some guys do have it :(

will have to wait to tomorow, will get it then , will upload here , if it is not up by then.

Makro has 2x 8GB Freecom USB Flash drive for R99.

According to the Makro website. There is no stock in Crown Mines, Wonderboom or Ottery.

Forgot to mention Makro has the Packard Bell 1TB Portable Hard Drive USB2.0 plus K3770 3G USB Internet Starter Pack (100MB data per month x 12 months) for R999.

Which is R100 more than when it was on special last week for R899.

However the Vodacom internet starter pack normally costs R399.
