Does Game do this on purpose? What a huge waste of time and energy trying to find out the facts on this deal and missing out on the WD 1TB R699 deal because they are out of stock now. What's the best way to let them have an earful? :mad:

I ordered the 3TB HDD from IC for R1299 online. Had a feeling the Game 2TB deal was not gonna pan out and I am getting rather tired of my space issues!

You can fill in a stock notice form thingy.
I filled in a form to get them to call me when they get stock of the 1tb for R699. They will sell it to me for the same price when they get stock.

Just out of interest does it power via one USB port or two?

Apparently the requirement of two USB ports to power 2.5" HDDs is a thing of the past. It was only necessary back in the day when high powered USB ports were not in existence.
 
Please note that the NEW WiiU isn't compatible with these USB powered only devices so if anyone is thinking of buying it for that reason then please remember this.

So just want to thank everyone for always informing us of great specials, YOU are the reason we save money or feel real sad when we miss out :whistle: hehe.

My contribution today is a 2TB External Drive from Game @ R899.99 which is the lowest in what has been about 3 months (minus the HifiCorp opening 3TB @ 999 awhile back). Enjoy ;-) , no time to crop as i am in a hurry.... :p

10%? LOL. . . Their stuff is seriously overpriced as it is so 10% off is a big meh.
 
What port connection do these WD drives have on the drives? Mine also has the thin longish one like the 500GB in the ad above posted by Yuu.

Haven't seen any other devices with this :o.

That's micro-usb3. It is a standard connector. I have it on my Adata usb3 drive.
