Seagate 2TB R999 @Makro (assuming USB3.0, but would buy it for the internals)

http://www.makro.co.za/p/32866/seagate-2tb-hard-drive-bundle/

free 16gb usb stick

Great bundle but they had this going for well over 2 months if i remember correct. We are already post flood after 14-16months? yet prices have not fallen as much as we wanted :/.

As to that drive, Esquire has a Seagate 3TB for R1355.46incl vat for their Happy Hour tomorrow is it or pay R1366.86incl now. They got the Seagate that offers 2 year warranty (Seagate Barracuda 3.0 TB-7200RPM-Serial ATA III ) or the Hitachi with 1 year warranty for the same price R1366.86incl listed. We need some competition :)

So far nobody has beat that HifiCorp special that was around R899.00 for 3TB end of last year (estimate as i can't recall fully). There was also another special recently but very limited stock which many users were not happy about (congrats to those who did get one :) ).

/sorry for rant but what is causing our prices to remain high?

@nadimm, thanks for listing that special, just want something that will get the thread raving about for a longtime :p.
