It is an LED unit, so there is no fuser unit. The LED "melts" the toner instead of an element. Which means longer lasting, lower energy use, smaller size and that one I bought from Takealot for R399 last year.

I have absolutely no idea why there are discontinued. It seems that we are supposed to live with the old tech here. If you can find one of them, then I would go for it.
