Good price for a 5tb external. But great deal for a 5tb NAS that can run Plex Server and a BitTorrent client.
Not really great if you consider it is a single-bay device without any redundancy.

Price per GB it's good. Not everyone is going to store critical data, and most could just back it up.
Altough the price/GB is good, the solution is really poor as it provides no redundancy - i.e. it is a single 5TB HDD. For roughly 5K you can get a custom FreeNas solution going which is not as locked in as the Seagate.
